WHAT IS LIVE-ROAST?

"Live roast" is roasting 1-3 pounds of coffee at a time to order, right behind the bar in each of our cafes. Most coffee is roasted in large batches in warehouses around the US. The problem with large batch roasting is that the beans become stale before they are even sold to customers. By only roasting what you order, we guarantee your beans will never sit waiting on a shelf, and you can enjoy the freshest coffee available anywhere. 

DO YOU OFFER FREE SHIPPING?

Yes, orders over $40 dollars ship free in the contiguous US. 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE MY COFFEE TO ARRIVE?

Most customers receive their coffee 2-3 days after placing an order. For certain areas of California shipments arrive next day if your order is placed before 11am. 

WHAT IF I ORDER COFFEE ON A WEEKEND?

We roast and ship orders placed over the weekend on Monday.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We have locations in San Francisco, Berkeley, and Bangkok.

CAN I HAVE MY COFFEE LIVE-ROASTED IN THE STORE?
Absolutely. Our baristas are trained to roast coffee, as well as answer any questions you may have about our coffees. We do pre-roast beans daily for easy pick-up, or we can roast upon request! 

HOW LONG DOES LIVE-ROASTING TAKE?
It takes about 7-10 minutes to roast and package a pound of coffee once you place your order. Our Live Roasters are pretty mesmerizing to watch, too!
